Apologies for the bad editing and the constant "emm", I'm a total beginner at this, but I will swot up! I mention "true north style", check her out, she's got an awesome blog and youtube channel, and this girl has shown me layering 101and loads of great styling tips.
News from the tandem feeding lair: lots of outings this week, I'm sitting my 3 month old on my hip in a peanut shell pouch sling, and fed him today while buying boots in TK Maxx, pretty proud of myself. Note to self: next time I'm shoe shopping with baba in sling, at least wear some slip-on shoes, I had my white converse low tops, and ended up doing an awkward shuffle, trying to get them on again with laces closed and 3 year old saying "What are you doing that walk for mommy?" He was helpful picking up the shoes I'd just tried on though. Still, I prefer shopping alone. Those days are over for a while though.
I brought both babies thrifting yesterday, first time ever. Was pretty proud of myself managing toddler, baby in wrap sling in front hold (slept the whole time), shopping bag and extra bag of framed Paris prints from the 60s, all while crossing roads etc. I think I looked a bit laden down, as everyone I met in shops said "Oh, I see you have your hands full." Still, the sun was shining, and no one was crying. A good day.
I'm going to do a post on breast pads next, till then, keep your babies close, keep feeding and enjoy the crazy ride we call motherhood!
