Style Icon: Audrey Hepburn

Today, in my detoxing after the party weekend, I watched Funny Face, an Audrey Hepburn movie from 1956. Wow!
I love love love the style in this movie - her slim black cigarette pants, black poloneck, mac, penny loafers, ponytail, eyebrows, all these iconic shapes that still look relevant today:

I'll leave the headscarf in the 50s though

Just need to find two fellas to dance with on my next night out!

Yes, she wears some amazing Givenchy couture gowns, but it's her mod-casual look I love best, the flats, the simple chic wearability of it all. There are no sky-high stillettoes, no restrictive tailoring, it's fashion-freedom at its best. Now I've an excuse to go shopping for some penny loafers! I'd a pair like these below that I wore to school in the 90s, if only I'd hung onto them!
