Me caught giving orders to my 7 year old photographer. Note baldy baby sleeping in the sling, despite having her head tickled by branches every few seconds.
The rosehips aren't ripe yet, we'll be back for them! I've been out of my costly rosehip facial oil and found some DIY ideas online, so gonna make my own this time. Check out this link here.

Sloe berries, currently residing in my freezer and will be added to vodka and sugar to make a liqueur in a couple of weeks. See a recipe here.
We ate the blackberries straight off the bushes, so here's my haul of hawthorn and sloes at home before washing. The hawthorn berries are new to me this year. I never knew they were edible, but it turn out they're a powerful heart tonic, help with insomnia and autoimmune disorders among other benefits. I'm drying them out and going to use in herbal teas. Check out more details of the medicinal benefits of hawthorn berries here.
Apart from that I've elderberry syrup in the freezer plus another bag of elderberries I froze straight off the tree as I hadn't time to process them. Mama's stocking up! Are you inspired to try a few of these ideas yourself?
